than a jury decide whether he was criminally insane when he did it.

D. Totzke admitted in great detail to police that he killed Gloria Jean
Totzke in the middle of the night last year, according to a criminal
complaint, so his guilty plea Wednesday to committing the killing was
not unusual under the circumstances.
The first-degree intentional homicide charge he was convicted of with his guilty plea carries .....
