Some math crimes involves murders, robbery, etc.
Other math debates result in criminal trials of a philosophical nature ...but the consequences are serious.

If found guilty of molecular CELL biology ..... abstract symbolic  thoughts or math crimes; the defendant's biochemistry math thought molecules  may spend time in  a cement /concrete jail cell with iron bars.

The legal system has Base 16 hexadecimal prisons for intellectuals .... such as the HEX'Fe' = 254 --> Federal prison for violations of their versions of the  MATH.  
The  Department of Justice  and the legal system is not familiar with  bio-math.
